COSTA RICA: Arias continues quarrelling with Cuba

Costa Rica and Cuba have not had full diplomatic relations since 1961. It seems the Costa Rican President, Oscar Arias, is determined to maintain the status quo, issuing yet another tirade against the Cuban leadership last month. Arias declared there was "no difference" between the infirm communist Cuban leader, Fidel Castro, and the recently deceased former Chilean rightwing dictator, Augusto Pinochet, in an interview in December.
